Freelance Demo Mode OPC Redundant Connection With AC500
I am working on a Freelance SP1 in demo mode. I have tested the single PLC connection via OPC with AC500 plc it was working fine.
But when I make the redundant connection in OPC i am not able to communicate even with the single PLC.
Is it because of the DEMO mode of Freelance?.
no, it is definitely not because of the demo mode. Actually, the demo normally has less restrictions than a licensed version except that it expires after 100 days.
Unfortunately I don't know exactly how OPC redundancy in AC500 works, but to work with the Freelance OPC client, it has to be somehow "transparent", it must look like a single OPC server with one set of items.
do you use the onboard Ethernet of the CPU or an external CM577 module for the PLC redundancy?
Please provide the topology of your OPC and redundancy configuration for further investigation.
A little drawing with the involved controllers and PC's, how they are connected, their IP numbers and rthe software they run should be sufficient.
