Time difference in Event & Trends & Controller.
I have redundant domain server 800xa with separate AS & CS , 4nos of ES & 7 Nos of OS. I have total five redundant controllers PM-866 for different applications (Boiler1, Boiler2, Turbine, Wtp & Chp). I am facing problem that time difference between trends & events . also time difference in controller time also.
How to Solve this. Can someone help in giving the apt solution?

Hello. This issue is related to time synchronization. 800xA Time (on nodes) is not the same that controller time. To solve this you should synchronize time on controllers using CNCP, SNMP or MMS Time Synchronization. Simple way will be using MMS TS via OPC Server, is easily to implement.
Please refer attached manual 3BSE034463510_E_en_System_800xA_5.1_Network_Configuration. Section 7 Time Synchronization
As earlier mentioned, the AfwTime Service handles time sync between your 800xA nodes, while CNCP handles time sync between controllers. Make sure that you define one of the controllers as the CNCP-master (and a secondary controller in case of failure).
To be observed, is that the CNCP makes use of your secondary control network (on UDP-port 3341).
Also normally, the Windows Time Service (W32Time) shall be disabled. All this is described in the Network Config Manual.
As far as I know the, Trend data is time-stamped in the OPC (DA) i.e. connectivity server, hence the alarms are time-stamped (and buffered) by each controller, according to OPC A/E specifications. Therefore it is crucial to set things right.
If you're running a virtual enviroment, there might be further issues with VMware Tools, and it's time sync with host systems.
BR & Good Luck with your timing!
