ABB 800m PM 866 PLC setting IP problem
Hi!
I have bought 3 new controllers which I need to set the IP.
I have upgraded the firmware several times and that works fine.
But when I try to set IP, the controller wont connect. It reads the reset performed but when I wait for the controller to restart it goes in fault state, F lights starts to flash. Have tried it several time now.
any ideas?

Have you placed the redundancy terminator correct?

Greetings,
Most possible causes of IP setting failures are:
1.Module bus(TB807) & RCU link cable in case redundancy or TB852 terminator in case of single controller configuration has not been terminated
2.Always while performing IP setting restore the factory settings with this it will erase the cloned or old Ip addresses
Could you please check once again?
Try removing the internal battery.
Also, connect serial cable to COM4 and listen with, eg PuTTY.exe (96008N1)
I suspect that the fault reason will be output to COM4 as the red LED goes on.
Put all the terminators as required. In the box the CPU is without terminators.
After proceed with firmware upgrade, press INIT button to do the reset of the CPU - until the green LED start flashing, don't switch off the power supply.
Then try with IP setting. Use advanced setting in IP setting tool.
When setting the boud rate, try with lower speed, not the maximum one
