Click button to set a tag to a value according to a formula which uses the tag value. EG Tag1 = Tag1 * 10 + 1.
I'm a complete beginner. How do you change the tag value according to some formula?
Thanks for your reply but I don't see how to get anything sensible to happen. I've tried the scaling in every place I can see but nothing does anything I have been able to understand.
I have a label with the value set to tag1, read only. the scaling is (1/1) + 0.
I have a button which I had set the scaling to (10/1) + 1, write only.
When I start the simulation the label says 0.0.
I click the button and the label says 1.0 as expected.
I click the button again and the label says 11.0 while the button is held down then when I release the button the label reverts to 1.0
I have another button where I have set the value to tag 1 and scaling to (10/1) + 3.
If I press this button when the label says 1.0 then the label changes to 13.0 while the button is down then reverts to 1.0.
Both the buttons are set to momentary write only.
I find the help file unhelpful, and I have looked at youtube examples but they are all too simple although I can make them work ok.
Is there somewhere I can get example projects so I can see how things are done? Googling does not get me anything useful so far. The explanation of how to use a keypad in the help file seems to omit how you actually use it, though it I am quite prepared to believe it is my brain that is the problem.
There must be some documentatation which explains all of this. Can anyoe provide a link?
I don't know how to insert code on this forum and I don't understand why what I post is cut short.
Why you don't create your logic in the PLC and by means of the button (toggle bit) only to switch which calculation to be active. From my experience, the panel is not the right place to do calculations, even it is my be possible.
Unfortunately I don't have experience with Java script
What you say is probably sensible but in my case there is no PLC. I am trying to make a simple cut to length control and I want the CP600 to simply tell the servo the next position required which someone has typed on the panel.
On the other hand it's probable that I'm not going about it the right way. The servo drive is a Microfles E100, so maybe I should learn how to use that for such calculations.
