AC800M Compact Flash Card and OPC Problem
I am using PM861 and Compact HMI in the system. I prepared CF card and inserted to the controller. The controller is working with CF card and there is no problem for reading the project files. After CF card is inserted and controller is running, OPC failed. I removed CF and downloaded project from PC, OPC server worked.
Is there any configuration about OPC for Compact Flash card?
Generally, there are no any specific settings for CF card, regarding OPC Server. Most important is the IP address and ethernet ports configuration - they have to be the same in OPC server - saved in a file from OPC configuration, and for the PLC - in Control Builder. Do you receive any error message in the panel?
In case you have a working version of PLC project in Control Builder, may be you have a difference between the actual project and the project, loaded in the CF.
You should download the last working project to CF - after the project is running correctly, put the CF in a card reader, connected to the PC with actual Control Builder project, right click on your PLC in the project and select: Download to removable media...
Please note - if you simply insert CF in the CPU, it doesn't means the project is loaded in the CPU memory from it, even after power off. The CPU stores the last loaded project from the Control Builder in his memory, until the next clear of the PLC memory - that could happen during power off of the CPU and there is no good backup battery installed in the CPU.
