Hello at all.
some time ago we did a modification at our AccuRay platform.
We changed the SMART-platform into a network platform.
As part of this the serial communication AC450 <-> AccuRay has been replaced by ethernet communication.
The AccuRay platform was connected to the first port of the CI532V09 card, and our dilution-control-system (ModulJet) is already connected to the second port of the CI532V09.
Since changing connection to ethernet we have communication-protocol-errors
at each maintainance-shutdown.
When this error occurs, a restart from the ACP doesn´t take any affect, only a reboot af the AC450 controller will get the communication working again.
(Master 1190 Node Release ID: 6.0/2)
(V1AL240A 02MAR2004 AccuRay Nexus 7.0/38)
Has anyone experience with such a kind of problem?
kind regards ..
(Comm-Error see attachment)
Well, Release 6.0/2 is REALLY old. Why have you never upgraded to release 7.0 ?
If the CI532 V09 worked properly before, and the only thing that you did was turn off Port 1 then unfortunately this sounds like there may be something incorrectly set in the port configurations somewhere.
Modulejet communications normally use a DIU protocol with a single communications port. However, the DIU was originally designed to use up to 4 ports and will swap betwen ports looking for a new primary link whenever communication stops. I'm speculating here but I think I *might* have seen a similar problem where this was the cause. The solution was to disable link rotation in the DIU configuration.
You should probably speak to the person who made the configuration changes for you. This job is pretty specialised and there aren't very many people left who could do this
