Paul,
Smart Client 2.2 RevC RU1a currently works for all the versions described in the manual, 2PAA107391-510 F, along with all the current releases of 800xA System versions 6.0, 6.0.1 & 6.0.2. Additionally, it is being utilized in the Decathlon Services 3.0 software as an application. The documentation has yet to catch up will all the versions that it is used with.

Paul,
You are probably missing one or more of the required .Net packages. Although not mentioned in the manual, you must have .Net Framework 3.5 installed. Check for this in the Server Manager.

Geof,
thanks for you answer.
800xA Smart Client 2.2 Rev. C RU1a.
We installed it in 5.1 and works perfectly.
We tried the same thing in ver 6.0 but the setup process
stops giving us an error msgbox "CoCreateObjectDotNet Error" .
The Product Bulletin Doc. Id. 2PAA113785 says the following :
*****************************
*******************
Special Note on compatibility
Projects moving to System 800xA 6.0, will be required to download a temporary
correction (TC) for Smart Client. The Temporary correction is required for compatibility.
The TC will be available in the ABB Solutions Bank immediately following the System
800xA 6.0 release.
Details about the TC will be provided in a separate product bulletin.

Is there any follow up for projects with 800xA 6.0 release ??
thanks a lot

Paul,
There are two TC's that should be implemented with this version of Smart Client, TC3 & TC4.
TC3 contains corrections that are applicable to interfacing with SV 6.0+ that addresses issues with PG2 Graphics.
TC4 is a combination of TC1, TC2 & TC4. There are two components to this TC, one for Base Smart Client, and one for the Smart Client Excel Interface.
TC4 requires a Certificate of Authorization from Development, and since this will require a Support Case for distribution, you should open a case and ask for both at the same time. Open a Support Case with your local RAC and they will escalate it to development for a response. You will need to supply a valid and active SID to obtain these TC's.
