AC 800M PM866 redundant controller fault light blinking
I have PM866 redundant controller. One is working properly but the redundant one fault light blinking. So I go through abb manual and found controller waiting for firmware update as mentioned in manual. Now i remove controller from panel and connect with PC in which abb software is installed by TK212A serial cable which is connected at COM4 in controller. Now I open serial firmware upgrade and click connect option & push INIT button to reset the controller but it's RUN led not blinking and after sometime showing not connected Timeout. So I am not sure is it hardware related problem or software related? is there otherway to update its firmware?

Remove backup battery (internal or external) and try serial upgrade again. Press & hold init until red LED starts to flash.
If serial firmware upgrade fail, ask regional ABB Support for assistance with diagnose/replacement.
