AC800M Secondary Controller is Getting Fault
Request for your support to troubleshoot following issue.
AC800M Secondary Controller is Getting Fault (tried to push init button for 2 seconds, after that its starts getting DUAL LED and suddenly getting Fault).
Project is running with only primary Controller. and the LED status on the Primary Controller is as below.
1. Both Primary & Secondary AC800M TX LED in CN1 Port is OFF? Why its not Transmitting?
2. Both Primary & Secondary AC800M RX LED in CN1 Port is ON
3. Both Primary & Secondary AC800M TX LED in CN2 Port is ON
4. Both Primary & Secondary AC800M RX LED in CN2 Port is ON
Controller (Redundant) not getting ping from CMD. not able to go online and not even for downloading.
RNRP shows (...., Up) for the Controller.
Not able to See the Remote Station ( No Connection).
1. BC810 is connected
2. IOs are connected with Optical Modulebus.
3. No External Batteries connected. Not sure about the internal.
Please suggest how to overcome with this issue.
Thanks & Regards-

Check the primary controller's log.
Have serial cable attached to secondary CPU and listen with Hyperterminal or PuTTY (9600 8N1).
The output in the primary's log and the secondary's serial port during failed startup can give clues to what goes wrong.
Having the RCU cable wrong would give similar result (I think) - but now you are with BC810... are those connected properly?
Battery status has indicator LED, should be lit (not flickering).
Regarding the network issues, it can be a lot of stuff involved...
Have you implemented changes in your systems recently?
Looks like primary network is down (according to RNRP), controllers using secondary nw, check cabling and switches. Could also be a RNRP Network Loop Detection/Protection (v 5.0) issue or Network Storm protection (ver 5.1), controller will close CN-port for 1 hour, then tries to open it again. Are you using some kind of ring configuration on the nw? Beware of STP/RSTP! Consult the 800xA Network configuration manual.
Does eng-node have prim&sec network?
Do you use a separate Controller Network or a "flat" network?
If the engineering-node (with CB) resides on a separate C/S-network? Check that TCP/IP-forwarding is enabled on the Connectivity Server.
If it is possible, try to set up IP with IP Config tool for both controllers according Manuals. I was with similar problem, secundary controller wasn´t responding ping comand after enter on DUAL mode (Dual LED ON), during restart period it was possible. I realized that IP configuration of Secudary Controller was wrong (not set with default role).
