what is recommended network binding order in 800xa? Plant network should be priority first or control network? Any
Up until, but not including Windows 10 have the so called "Adapter Bind Order" influenced how DNS resolution takes place.
To allow proper domain operation for 800xA the primary objective is: the first NIC having a DNS defined must point to the DNS governing the 800xA domain.
From this you can derive: NICs with *NO* DNS setting can be placed arbitrarily, even first!
A common problem is: typically are NICs replaced or more NICs are added over the lifetime of a computer and the new often (always?) arrive first in bind order while the desired is often last.
So randomize the bind order as you like, as long as the first NIC having DNS info is pointing to the system's domain server.
In Windows 10, DNS resolution is controlled via a decimal number which can be set on each NIC in Windows 10. Same rule apply here... 800xA domain controller should be placed before any other DNS.
