backup stopped since backup services stopped or restarted
I had created a new system & while testing the system for backup services, when I tried to take the maintenance backup, the backup did not start & shows following message "backup stopped since backup services stopped or restarted".

Many things can cause this. Check the backup logs for errors. If too many errors then the service may stop. Correct errors and try again. Also if the localtion is full this may happen. Ensure you have anough space for the backup files (usually several gB). If you're running the backup to an external storage (epecially SAN or network share or sometimes USB), make sure the resource is 100% availbale with no lags. If LAN is shared, there might be something that throttles the throughput to the point the backup service cannot communicated with the reource and it stops.
In some cases (dependant on version) you may have to retart the node where the backup service is running for it to restart, check above errors first.
Backup is known to malfunction if Microsoft Windows operating system resources are low or marginal. How much RAM? How large is the swap/paging file?
Have you tried restarting the computer hosting the backup service provider?`
Can you try moving the backup service to another computer?
Ultimately, have a support case logged with your regional ABB support team.
