Redundant AC800M with Siemens ET200M on redundant Profibus-DP
Does anybody have realization of redundant AC800M with Siemens ET200M (redundant IM153-2) on redundant Profibus-DP instead of S800? Does it work as expected in case of Profibus-DP line failure? What one else should care about in this combination? Does this configuration need RLM-01 between CI854 and ET200M?
Thanks.

Hello, Following are the advantages of the using the existing device type(object type), this is tested and released by DIC. Site engineer does not require to create new library and import the gsd file and map the data of each module and diagnosis mapping also.
The device type will have various aspects alarm, event, Device Definition(DTM)sap, cmms, maximo in some cases asset monitoring. Device type is a kind of plug and play in 800xA system. If the site engineer wants to do all its effort(time consuming).

Hello, you can use device object type for series of siemens IO modules as well as IM153-2/1 interface module, download it from abb solutions bank @ http://solutionsbank.abb.com/SLH/common/ProductDrillDown.aspx?DocType=Download
It is tested and integrated @ DIC - device integration center ABB.
Hope it helps to you.....
Thanks for reply.
Sumit, may I ask send me direct link? There is no device object type in drilldown download in my view of SolutionBank.
hello,
Try to drill down with these selections displayed below, there is 100 object types you can find object types for series of Siemens I/O's, hope your view get those........
Hello Sumit,
my account does not allow to download DeviceObjectTypes :(
Hello Sumit,
this is strange but I can download it from site while SolutionBank does not allow.
OK, next question. If I would not use DeviceObjectType but standard gsd file. Are there special options I need to set when importing gsd in new library?
Hello gn reddy,
thanks for relpy. I understand this advanteges but DeviceObject Type also required Profibus Managment License which will not be available in this potential project. In this project 95% of IO will be discrete and the only reason of using ET200M instead of S800 is the number of discrete inputs/outputs per module - Siemens has 32 or even 64 while S800 just 16.
So I would need to do such integration (of course it can't be so powerful as DIC did) myself. This is why I'm asking what I have to care about.
Thanks
Hi all,
I am not sure, but I am missing clear answer regarding "original" post:
"Does it work as expected in case of S800 Profibus-DP line failure? Does this configuration need RLM-01 between CI854 and ET200M?"
I solve the same now (how to connect ET200 with redundant Profibus DP lines to AC800M).
Is it possible to give me clear description what will be necessary from HW side and which limitations I have regarding application / configuration side?
Sorry in case I missed any comment.
Thanks for help.
Radek
