IEC-104 redundant network in AC900F controller
we need to do a configuration with two redundant freelance controllers AC900F and two devices with redundant ports, the controllers will have two instances, an IEC-104 master instance and an IEC-104 slave instance, these devices (slave and master) can work with Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP), the question is:
There is a way to do a configuration of redundancy IEC-104 with a PRP topology with the AC900F cotroller? Two redundant controllers can work with the same IP address in the port IEC-104? How the IEC-104 redundant network working in AC900F? There is any topology that I can use to solution this problem?
Port distribution in two redundant controllers:
Port 1:Primary control network
Port 2:Redundancy link
Port 3:Secundary control network
Port 4:IEC-104 network
Freelance does not support PRP (Layer 2 redundancy). Although you could configure the same IP in both controllers (which is NOT allowed!), you cannot configure the same MAC address and the controllers would not behave like a single PRP node.
You would have to add redundancy boxes before each of the controllers.
Freelance does support the redundancy control messages that are part of the IEC 104, but this is based on a two machine model with different IP addresses. Please check if your IEC 104 devices support it.
