800xA Generic PLC Connect with WinCC failover time
I am running 800xA redundant connectivity server configuration with 3rd party OPC tunneller which takes data from redundant PCS7 node. Remote node is running WinCC OPC server. I got DA and A&E to both connectivity servers registering WinCC opc server with the same name on both CS. Failover is working when etherenet cable is disconnected to one of the PCS7 nodes though the time for connectivity server services failover is long.
Is there a way how to speed failover up when ethernet or remote server is down? Would you recommend to use 3rd party OPC redundacy SW? Sometimes when comm is broken just for short time and services didn't switch over PLC connect lose connectivity and will not reconnect.

The "simplest" way is to bring the WinCC OPC server inside the same domain as the 800xA System and install RNRP onto it. However, I guess this probably isnt really practical in your case.
OPC Redundacy software can help but IMHO I have no recommendations. If you are already using Kepware or Matrikon, those vendors offer OPC Redundancy products.
