I have an issue at site with ABB Smart Client 2.2 RevC Ru1a. Smart client stop working showing "No system" to browse 800xA Display. If I stop and start the "program supervison manager" in Smart client data provider and server everything start working. Same Isuue repeating after a couple or days. Any suggestion to troubleshoot the issue is appreciable.For more inofrmation see the application event logs and screenshots.
From the screen shot of the "Smart Client Stopped", it appears that you have two Data Provider Nodes and that the Smart Client Server is in combination with the 800xA History Server, please confirm.
If you are running two Data Provider nodes, this would indicate that there are two independent 800xA Systems, as Smart Client Data Providers are NOT redundant, and the use of two Data Providers on one 800xA System will severely affect licensing.
Based on the number of restarts shown in the same screen shot, I would start by verifying the physical connections. I cannot see whether or not you are getting restarts on the Smart Client Server node. If this is also happening, the issue could be deeper. If the problem is in the SC Server, ie., these programs are stopping first, they will cause the DP nodes to stop.
Each node with Smart Client software has a group of log files on "C:\" partition, "C:\abblogs". This contains log files associated with the operation of the Smart Client. I would suggest gathering these logs, (zipping), and opening a support case with your local RAC.
