How to compare 'Alarm Lists' aspects with 800xA
I would like to compare all 'Alarm List' aspects in i. e. Object Type Structure or Functional Structure that all are the same or not. Using drag and drop the whole structure into 'Import / Export' tool, then press 'Find' button, select 'Aspects' and fill 'Name = Alarm List' I cannot see these aspects, but only one - there should be cca. 50 ones in Functional Structure. In Object Type Structure has been found 1109 items, but there are only three columns: Name is always 'Alarm List', Type is always 'Alarm and Event List', Category is always 'Alarm and Event List', so as it is for now useless as I cannot compare these items by Modified date&time, even by 'Modified' and|or 'Created' user.
Using 'grep' on XML export by GraphicsXmlTool gets 41 results, but there is part of all occurences, IMHO from Object Type Structure but not from Functional Structure.
Is there another way how can I get these informations, i. e. from some XML export file or so? How can I get a list like this?
Path CreatedDate CreatedUser ModifiedDate ModifiedUser
ObjectTypeStructure/<path1>/AlarmList 130410_114352 Slavek 130410_114352 Slavek
ObjectTypeStructure/<path2>/AlarmList 130410_114352 Slavek 130410_114512 Slavek

By using Bulk Data Manager you can easily create such a list.
First, read about the additional properties you can retrieve with BDM in the Engineering Studio User's Guide, e.g. 3BDS011223-510 pages 95-101.
1) Excel -> BDM Activate
2) Drag & drop one arbitrary alarm or event list aspect to cell A1
3) Mark (entire) column D
4) Perform "Insert column" four (4) times
5) At row #1 for each of the four new columns enter the following
(the first part can be copied from the blue column H which was D before the inserts)
- Alarm and Event List/Alarm and Event List.#ACT
- Alarm and Event List/Alarm and Event List.#ACU
- Alarm and Event List/Alarm and Event List.#AMT
- Alarm and Event List/Alarm and Event List.#AMU
6) Drag & drop an object or tree of objects onto cell A1
ACU and AMU (creating and modifying user) will be empty if the aspect belongs to a system extension, i.e. was created by "Create System" or "Add System Extension".
With Excel's Auto-sort feature you can search, compare, etc. as you like.
Hope this helps
