Few more questions to give you precise answer,
What is data volume ? and at what speed ? also you are referring 'tag' in description would like to check you just want values from micrologix and display in graphics or want those values in faceplate to be displayed in Freelance operation ?
And you just want values for operation view ? or want to use in logic ?
And what freelance version you are running ?
There are several possibilities to get values from third party into Freelance Operation and Freelance engineering.
But in your case where it's PLC, assuming it's less data volume and fast speed. and recommended you can use Modbus TCP, seems it's supported both the side. Note AC 800F supports modbus TCP in Freelance 2016 version.
Or you can use Ethernet send/recieve protocol in AC 800F, supported in most of the Freelance versions.
Allen-bradley Micrologix 1400 supports Ethernet/IP, DNP3 and Modbus TCP/IP through ethernet port. Since your CBF version is 9.0, it is not possible to interface through ethernet. Either you upgrade to Version 2013/2016 to use Modbus TCp/IP or use Modbus RTU through serial port.
To fix the error of "no. of network resources exceeds limits" follow this,
1. In configuration mode, goto HW tree.
2. Open AC 800F parameter mask via double click on controller node.
3. Goto 'Boot Parameter' tab and check network window.
here the network buffer and interface object values in column 'Reserved' should be equal or greater (+5 may be) then values in column 'Required'. Check image here.
But note that by saving and changing these new value will trigger whole station download to the controller when next time you are going online with controller.
In above case reserved should be changed to
Network buffer value from 20 to 60
Interface objects value from 0 to 4
