Time Sync Problem with Domain Controller & 800xA 5.1 servers (AC450 System)
Time Sync Problem with Domain COntroller & 800xA 5.1 servers (AC450 System)
DOmain Controller (non 800xA node)
Redundant AS, Redundant CS
RTAB 1 settings are 0, 2, 0
RTAB 2 settings are 0, 2, 0
AC450 - 04 Nodes (Time Synced)
Out of 04 AC450 nodes one is Time Master (1, 2, 1) and another one is secondary Master (0, 2, 1)
Now all 04 controllers and 800xA system are synced with time from AC450 Controller. But Domain server is not syncing with 800xA system or AC450.
Windows Time is disabled in all 800xA clients and 800xA servers except Domain server.
If i enable time service in CS, CS are following the DC. Due to this i could not make CS as SNTP server.
Please help me how DC can follow the time of 800xA system or AC450 nodes?
Like Ronny says, you need the W32time service in both CS and DC.
in CS disable the client and enable the server
;Must be set to 5 to identify time server beeing always reliable!
;(0x1 = always time server, 0x4 = always reliable time server)
in the DC enable the client and point to the CS
; External References on all Networks, prevent unsynchronized domain Controller
; in case of missing or failing RNRP service
; Extension <ip address>,0x1 enforces special poll interval
"NtpServer"="172.16.4.21,0x1 172.17.4.22,0x1 172.17.4.21,0x1 172.16.4.22,0x1"
You need to restart the w32time service after these changes.
Hope this hepls, but like Stefan says read the manuals and be carefully if you change registry settings if you are not familar with this.
