It depends, if you really mean "800xA" then this is just the HMI and the HMI fully supports your exisiting AC450 controllers. Which is why most customers see no need to migrate from AC400 series controllers to AC800M controllers. Theres nothing wrong with AC450, its still fully available, and you can realistically expect continued support for many years to come.

I've converted many MP280 controllers to AC800M (same process as would be for AC450) but there is no tool that I'm aware of that will do this with automatically. There is a service offered by ABB to do this work but not sure of the process. I do use the excel file generated from the database in FCB to help generate the properties for all of my I/O and other object parameters such as those for PID controllers, MOTORS, VALVES, etc. In most cases we are replacing well structured programming (AMPL) that made use of Type Circuits and we have recreated those in AC800M making for easier conversion.
