Error during restore of Full Backup: The importer returned hr = 0x8000ffff
I want to restore an 800xA System but i get an error during the Restore in Configuration Wizard when loading 0_Objects_Library Structure.afw: The importer returned hr = 0x8000ffff
The Wizard continues but the restore obviously fails afterwards...
Is there anywhere a description of these error messages?

The built-in Start->Run... afwerrorlookup tool can be used to translate error codes from programs and services in System 800xA.
ABB internal error codes begin with 0x8ABBxxxx, however, some error codes may have other origins, e.g Microsoft.
8000ffff = Catastrophic failure
There is not so much you can derive from this error code during a restore, other than that something went wrong...
Things to check:
1) Was backup free from errors and warnings?
2) Was consistency check performed before backup (this is recommended)
3) Can you try restoring on another computer to rule out problems with this one?
4) Monitor the Configuration Wizard's process use of virtual memory during the restore operation (use Windows Performance monitor, do not use Task Manager). If the wizard's use of "Virtual Bytes" exceed 1500 MB the backup might be too large to restore. If memory reaches above 1900 MB or even hit the 2000 MB boundary imposed by Microsoft Windows there is no doubt that the backup is too large.
If you can't resolve this on your own, please do not hesitate to contact your regional ABB support center.
