800xA System Restore
I am trying to restore 800xA System to my exisitng 800xA project. The reason to restore is to update a standalone PC with 800xA project. How can i update the 800xA project in my standalone with the changes made on graphics and integrations made on live system. Kindly help in updating the new graphics in my standalone PC.

- Backup/Restore transfers 100% of objects and aspects to the target system (where existing objects and aspects will be replaced). No merge is possible. Delete existing system before restoring a backup.
- Export/Import transfers parts of the objects and aspects in a system. The tool will try to advise if dependencies exist and option exist to automatically bring those in the transfer.
Its not that easy to use Export/Import, especially if transfers need to be repeated over time and also occasionally change direction (Production System -> Engineering System or Engineering System -> Production System).
Libraries can be taken into use; they offload some of the decisions from the exporter/importer since the Engineering and Production systems should be on the same version to match each other. New library versions can be spawned in Engineering as the application is developed and extended; moved to the Production and taken into use.
For 100% copying from Production to Engineering, I do recommend Backup/Restore as there are no options or decisions to take. All goes into the package.
For a few graphic aspects, use Export/Import.
Do not export the root object from any structure. To export an entire structure, always start exporting one step below the root (exclude the root object from being exported).
