OPC Tunnel between Freelance 2016 and Rockwell system.
I want to connect my Freelance 2016 System, with a Rockwell system, via OPC, the problem is what, i don't have clear information or some tutorial about configuration OPC tunnel.
Is there any tutorial or explaination for using an OPC Tunnel Version 1.44 Build 1707 with freelance 2016 ?
Thanks !

Hi abel.jana,
It all depends on one crucial thing: Who will be the server and who will be the client?
Case 1: Freelance side is the OPC server (Gateway) and Rockwell system is a OPC client.
In this case You DO NOT use Freelance tunneling software! Use simple OPc rules to establish this kind of connection. You may, of course, use some other, 3rd party OPC tunneling, but in principle You don't need it and Freelance OPC Tunnel won't work in this case!
Case 2: Freelance is the Client, Rockwell acts as server.
In this case You NEED to use Freelance OPC tunneling, as both Freelance Engineering and Operations have pre-configured, build-in tunneling. As such You only need to define the OPC Tunnel on the server site. Go to Rockwell OPC server station, install Freelance OPC Tunnel software, open Configurator (Start > All Programs > ABB Industrial IT > Freelance > OPC Tunnel) and input registered OPC server name of Rockwell OPC server (first DA, then AE below) and click OK. Restart System Tray (You can find it in the same folder, as mentioned above). That's all.
Hope this helps,
Mike
