Softcontroller IP address setting
I have a single node with several network adapters. In this case how does the system selects the IP address for SoftController? Is it possible to change this address?
Does it only work with the 127.0.0.1:2 address? I've tried to assign the 172.16.4.11:2 IP for a network adapter (which is not physically connected to any network) and use it as the address for the softcontroller, but softcontroller stops working when I try to download using this configuration.

Hi,
127.0.0.1:2 should work , or else the network adaptor (172.16.4.11)should be enabled & connected in the network . If all the basic configurations are correct then Soft controller should work .
Hi,
As ashif says, it should not be a problem.
Try this alternative step:
Disable other network adapters other than any active one.
Now start your soft controller.
Once this is done, in your OPC server configuration, go to view -> Available controllers.
This will list your available soft controller IP address
Use this IP address as the controller system identity in your CBM and download now.
It should work.
If we want to pick data of Soft controller server, on a Client PC through LAN basis. Then ,on what basis I should setup IP of client PC ??
I mean if you SoctController IP is : 127.0.0.1:2 and thus your Server PC IP as 127.0.0.1 ; then what exact IP will be of Client PC ?? Further, what changes in ''CONTROL BUILDER " will be done ??
Kindly support !!
