control signals quality is coming as "BAD"
We are using REF630 relays in one of our project (GIS plant) where we have to do the control operation of CBs, ISOLATORS & Earth Switches. The scd file to upload in CET & 800xA has been exported using CCT tool. We are able to get the "GOOD" or healthy status of all binary input signals however as shown in attached screenshot, the status for control of CB, Isolator & earth Switch is coming as bad due to which not able to operate them from faceplate.
What could be the reason.? How can this be resolved.

The signals you are highlithing in your screenshot with quality as "Bad" are intended for command/control operations and that is the "normal" behaviour when you have never sent any command to the REF630. It changes to "Good" after a control request (in other words, after writing "1" to anyone of those signals).
I believe the reason you are not able to send any command to the REF630 is because you are not following the correct procedure. As per your screenshot I can see the signal ctlModel = 4 that means Select-Before-Operate philosophy (SBO) for Open/Close operations. Hence from the Faceplate the correct procedure to control the switches follows:
Considering your CBR is open (stVal = 1) and you want to close it:
1) Send the 'Select do Close' command writing "1" to the "ctlSelOn" to select the CBR for close operation (another button besides the Close button).
2) Get the 'Selected' status "stSeld = True" to enable the Close button on Faceplate (additionally to the SCILO.EnaCls.stVal signal that I imagine you are already considering to enable buttons).
3) Before the Timeout (not sure, but the default is about 10s in REF630), write "1" to the "ctlOperOn" to Close the breaker.
After that, if the breaker closed correctly, you should get a 'Closed' status "stVal = 2" and the switch should be 'Unselected' "stSeld = False"
First you can test directly in CET to see if it works and see the changing on "Bad" quality for those control signals. Afterwards, go to PPA and implement the changes on your Faceplate.
The commands Data Attributes are DO from our system. Normally Quality is sent by the IED only to the DA's which are Inputs to our system.
The attribute stSeld will become true once u select either ctlSelOn or CtlSelOff.
So to operate from HMI this do not go for toggle buttons. Instead use a text box with Property writer and bool dew. So there will be one text box for Open Command and One for Close Command.
So when u click on text box, the property writer will write to CtlSelOn or CtlSelOff depending on which command button you click. Simultaneously because of booldew you will get pop up from Text box. U link the CtlOperOn variable to the Booldew which on Clicking will send the command to the IED.
