PCM600 tool Parameter setting
Hello to All
We are usign REF630 at one of our site. . I worked and made some configuration changes in the relay.
Before doing the write opeartion on the relay i did read the parameters so as to update my configuration. I was successful in writing the configuration also. I can verify the changes through relay LHMI. However.. when I am trying to read the same relay in a new project. I am not able to read all the parameters. Lets say while writing their was 1000 parameters now I am able to read only 300. As soon as read parameter process finishes it shows warning stating "Number of setting groups has been changes! Please restart Parameter Setting Tool" bec of which application configuration view of relay is also not visible.
Screenshot attached. Can some one please help me about how can i read the the complete parameter amd how can this warning be resolved.
PCM600 Parameter Setting adapts to the amount of configured Setting Groups. For REF630 there is a parameter named "MaxNoSetGrp" which defines how many Setting Groups you have in use. If for example that setting value in PCM600 is '1' then PCM600 only shows one Setting Group for applicable functions. Also Parameter Setting in PCM600 always only reads the values which are visible in the tool, so in this example only the Setting Group 1 values.
Now I believe that in your case there are multiple Setting Groups enabled in the device. When you try to read to a new project, PCM600 notices this during the read and recommends to re-open the tool to make sure all the parameters gets read. So in this case you should read the MaxNoSetGrp, save the value, re-open Parameter Setting and read all parameters after that.
Please note that reading with Parameter Setting only reads the parameters from the relay, not the complete configuration. So after you create a new PCM600 project, you first need to read the whole configuration with the 'Read from IED' functionality. That will create all the needed functions to PCM600 and enables that you can see them in Parameter Setting.
