Tension build up problem in paperwinder drive ACS800.
I have a paper winder motor of 37 kw,68 amp, base rpm=1414, max torq-238 nm. The tension is not properly maintained & the paper is becoming loose.Also when the linespeed is becoming zero, the paper winder motor speed is becoming zero after some seconds. ACS800 drive is used in speedcontrol mode. Checked the coupling of the motor, found ok.Checked the torq filter2 parameter at different speeds, found stable.I have compared the parameters with the previous backups.Emg stop ramp, kps, tis parameters were slightly different. Paper dia calculation is via V/N. Mtor encoder f/b is also smooth.
Shall I go for ID RUN,Motor loss calculation?What other parameters I need to check?
I haven't done paper winder application but still what I suggest is Monitor TorqRef2 value closely, Also It depends on what philosophy u are using to maintain the tension.
In V/N Calculation check for V accuracy. From where have you taken the V value??
Check if any additional reference is being given for maintaining tension??
Is the motor uncoiling or recoiling ??
This sounds like a good application for the ACS800 Winder Firmware.
I would recommend adding ABB Pressductor Load cells replace the ACS800 factory firmware with Winder Firmware.
The load cells will then wire directly to the ACS800 drive.
Example: Your speed ref on AI1, the tension feedback on AI2
The winder firmware will compensate for Dia, Taper Tension and keep a constant tension on the paper even if your line speed is Zero.
You can even have a different PI and tension for Zero speed then running speed.
I've done many paper winding and unwinding applications with Winder Firmware.
