800xA Log Configuration gets status "Bad, Configuration Error, Raw, Extrapolate"
I have configured log file (snapshot is attached). Its working fine and I am getting trends on faceplates. But for some tags trend disappears and when I "Read" the status from Log configuration, it shows "Bad, Configuration error, Raw, Extrapolate". Whereas the object seems working fine without any error. This status doesn't become Good unless I delete and recreate the log.
Attached is the snapshot of one tag, Its history was working fine few days ago, then its trend disappear and status became Bad, I deleted the log, recreated and it became Good. I am facing this problem on many tags but unable to find the cause.
Please file a support case with your regional ABB support center!
Basic History will upon not receiving any further data, extrapolate last known value+status.
in this case it seem like the OPC server was not connected to the PLC when the log was started, but later when it became connected failed to send any update to Basic History.
Function Designer seem to be used. Maybe the log was started before the Function was compiled & downloaded to the PLC?
I believe toggling the enable checkbox on the Log Configuration would solve this problem. Anyway, an item added to an OPC server should be catered for by the OPC server. In this case, it seems like the OPC server did not cater the item.
Always ensure dont use copy/paste of log configuration of one object to other one since it will copy the older object ref so whenenver you delete the object/log configuration of the older one new log configurations will not work so always use BDM or individually create log for each object.
So could you try by deleting any log configuration of the non-critical object which is having problem and create the new log configuration and try check
