Freelance error when launching Freelance "Hardkey might be defective"
please review the the attached.
I have re-install the F2K.key file
The driver looks ok in the device manager. See attachment
I have not re-instlalled the the Freelance software.
I is there way to prove the usb dongle is defective
is there anything else I can check

which Freelance system version ? is it a upgrade case or new installation ?
Can't see images properly....But check few things....
the file name should be small letters f2k.key, secondly...
Please check that your f2k.key matching with the license type you have bought for the system and physical system matching with that... means combi license kye can not be installed only of PC where Engineering Station is installed.
Also the license key should match for the version installed...means license bought for version 2013 can not be installed on Freelance 2016...
All these better to check because hardkey is just an USB stick with some binary file coded inside it, so there is nothing to be defective or error.... might be some mismatch or wrong file/version etc.

If you using Freelance Version 9.2SP2 install TC1. This HotFix helps if "CBF performs a wrong interpretation of some license key strings", see ReleaseNotes_V92SP2HF01.
TC1 you can get from ABB Service.
