Excel reports file transfert
Hello !
I have a problem with my Excel reports with CBF 2013 and Digivis. The reports are stored in "reports" on C:\Program Files (x86)\ABB Industrial IT\Freelance\reports. But I can't change the names of the files and the storage path.
For example, for an Excel reports named "pressions", the different files are named pressions.001, pressions.002, ..., and always in \reports.
I use the automatic file transfer, but it doesn't work...
Anyone have an idea of the problem ?
Thanks
Simon

Hello smichau,
This is how it works by default - You set the name for the report in General tab (the first one) and all instances of this report will have this name with a proper number (001 for the first one, 002 for the second etc.)
If You want to automaticly save the reporst in another location You may use the file transfer (and belive me, this works). You only need to remember few things:
1. The transfer uses FTP, so the target PC needs to have a FTP server running.
2. The files will be saved under (overwriting) the same file name if You select transfer to File, under different files with names defined by the time of the export (in format YMMDDhhm.mss) if You select Directory [8.3] or under different files with names defined by name set for the report in General tab with export date appended (insted of "pressions.001" You will get a date in format "pressions.YYMMDDmmss")
3. Set the proper credentials if Your FTP server requires them: user name and password must be correct!
Pay special attention to settings of Your FTP server - this is where most of the problems occur.
Hope this helps,
Mike
Thank you for your answer. I think it's my FTP server wich is not correct, because it is impossible to store a report in an other file. It's always in ...\freelance\reports.
I will continue my researches.
Thanks
