Problem in AO845 S800 I/o's BAckPlain
We are been to start commisioning of one of the refinery plant here we use safety I/o's S800 series.
In that we have a problem with AO845 Card backplain
We use reduntant module so TU843/842 is applicable to this moudule
My question is one the card is healthy showing read and power ON LED Green/Yellow.
and the other card is in fault state we tried to change the card which in fault with spare but still the problem remains same we get 24V across the backplain so no problem with supply
we suppect that maybe problem with backplain so the Both the cards are not energizing.
is that the problem in the backplain or any other region
Actually we donot understand where in the problem lies can you please help us in this regard.

Hello,
Check few things,
- MTU key matching with module key incase of AO845 Key 1,2 should be C,C.
- Make sure you are using AO845 module not AO845A
- faulty module is mounted properly i.e locked ? check image
If above things are fine than check SW configuration in CBF matches as HW configuration in pannel, And also check correct configuration is loaded to profibus slave of that node ?
We have checked with the above configuration it is meeting all the requirements, means same as the image configuration settings.
in the back plain settings it is already has been set to C,C
in the SW CBF it is matching the card Hardware/SW version as per the panel diagram.
But still the AO card is not healthy as always one module is healthy and other when it is locked it goes to fault state.
i dont understand where the problem lies. whether in backplain or anyother region due this fault in AO 845 Card all the nodes i.e., CI840/TU843 module are red only in SW CBF and in hardware it is healthy.
Can please help us.
Thanks Advance

Hello,
If sw/hw configuration, module installation, power supply and module HW version is compatible with and all is well then to traceout problem in yourcase
changeover healthy primary module with secondary faulty one, if after changeover it's same status i.e primary is healthy and secondary shows fault then seems there is issue with backplane.
Also check module LED status to conclude with it's a fatal error or configuration issue.
Incase of Error module fault(F) LED should be steady ON and warning(W) either on or off. if you can not conclude with, reply back with picture and details info of status of module LED's or get connected with loacal ABB supportline.
Hope that helps.

here we use AC800f Reduntant controller via profibus DP communication
