Does 800xA has any standard GUI to monitor system health other than RNPR utility?
I have deployed 800xA redundant system with redundant network. Different nodes are also connected with it. I want to monitor system redundancy status and network status. For example, if Primary server go down standby server become active. Same can be monitored by IT utility and RNPR. But these are not attractive way to monitor as per our customer. Is there any other way to monitor server redundancy or network redundancy?
if there is no such way, can i use system variables to develop customise graphic display that meet my requirement?
I know no single graphical tool which gives you all.
System Status Viewer, SSV aspect works in Service and Node Administration Structures (it exist also in Control Structure but can be painfully slow if number of PLCs and IO clusters are large)
SSV is based on OPC properties, you can make a custom element in PG2 if you prefer.
For RNRP no OPC properties exist; but if you Google AKS for "RNRP Alarm Condition" you will find a couple of threads where I explain how to get PG2 to show network status.
Eg my input later in this thread:
Avoid wrappers if you want the display to be fast.
With enough time and effort you could create some PG2 graphic elements that you put on Server and Client node objects in Node Administration Structure; each element can present service and network status summary.
