Starting and stopping trend chart in graphic display
Is it possible to set a start time and stop time for a trend chart in the graphic display?
I am monitoring an analog input value from a flowmeter, but in the chart I only want the values from a certain sequence plotted. So I don't want the plot to start as soon as the flow has a value, it would be great if it could wait until a certain variable was set to true. And I also want it to stop plotting at a certain point, because as it is now, the flow becomes 0 after a while, and the plot I am interested in dissapears as the plot window moves on as the time goes.
Is there any way to make the chart behave as I want it to?
I believe no using a regular log and trend.
With a Calculation you can do a lot more; a Calc can be logged asynchronously with a lab log (eg only when Calc has executed). One calc can trigger another (one being trigger and the other being a logger).
Lab logging has been discussed before on AKS
Also Excel reports have a larger number of options, but then you need to handle the output differently. A workplace can view report output, eg if made to HTML or PDF.
