How to configure trend of an object?
Hi Mr. Tailor
I assume that you already have the objects in Control Structure.
Then you need at add a Log Configuration aspect to either:
1) each of the objects concerned in the Control Structure
2) to the object type concerned in Object Type Structure. (This should copy a Log Configuration aspect to each instantiated object in the Control Structure)
Lets say that you choose to 1) add a Log Configuration aspect each of the objects concerned in the Control Structure:
Add a Log Configuration aspect to the first (of all the objects of the same Object Type). Thereafter you need to configure
a) properties (e.g. :Value for the temperature, and other properties) to log and
b) for each property the History Log Template to be used (standard templates are located/defined in Library Structure)
When you have done the above for the first one object, you can simply copy this Log Configuration aspect to the rest of the objects of the same object type.
Ensure that you have a Basic History service running (for the Control network concerned) in the Service Structure, with the Connectivity Server(s) concerned as Service Providers. This ensures that Basic History will run with the Connectivity Server(s) concerned as Service Providers.
In the object specific Trend Display aspect (as well as in other Trend Display aspects) the logged object properties will now be available for presentation.
I hope the above will help you
The process is very simple:
1. in Library Structure create a Trend Template specific to your project. When you have created trend template, select the aspect "Trend template" & go to Details Tab. Their you specify No. of Traces (=no. of signals for which trends are required) & select the Color for trend traces.
2. Then based on for which element you want trends (in object type or in control structure), go to that element, Add Trends display aspect. Right click on that, select Trend template (which you just created in Step 1)
& its done.
in step 1 max & min values for the trends, whether trens are based on logs oe seamless.
I hope this will help
