Is there a way to disable one MB300 Clockmaster without rebooting the RTA?
this morning I had to reboot my AC400 CS2 (RTA Node 2); the RTA of CS1 is Clockmaster. After Reboot of CS2 the RTA didn't get the Time from CS1; so I set the Time on RTA of CS2. By doing this the RTA of CS2 got also clockmaster. The Online Builder shows for both as response for command "lclkp" "This is the Clock_master_node". How can I get rid off one clockmaster without booting a RTA?
Thanks for your answer in advance

the RTA board has an element called CLOCK_SYNCH, which is setup to be a possible clockmaster or not. If the CLOCK_SYNCH is set up like "1 2 1" then it's possible. When you then set the time from that node then it will be clock master. By default the Masterbus node with lowest node number will be Clock Master.
If you want to disable the possibility to be a clock master, set CLOCK_SYNCH to "0 2 0".
Ronny is correct.
Changing CLK_MAST to FALSE should take immediate effect. If not, you can restart the clock task on the RTA with the System Level command "KIT CXAE000" (you may have to repeat it three times). Then start it again with "ACT CXAE000".
If both RTAs became clock master after setting the time in the second, something is not fully correct. Any running clock master should "fold" if another clock master is started.
Is the MB300 network OK between these RTAs?
What version are you running?
If you have RTA as clock master I suspect you also run "Reverse Sync" (time is transferred from Windows to RTA) - Reverse Sync has a known problem which became corrected in the latest revisiona:
- ABB 800xA for Advant Master 5.1.0-3 RU1 (an update on 5.1 RevD)
- ABB 800xA for Advant Master S-FP 5.1.1-1 RU1 (an update on 5.1 FP4 RevD)
