Some services become configured by 800xA and CHMI installation (started, stopped, disabled, etc.).
I can't tell if CHMI will disable the WLAN AutoConfig service or not (in my lab's CHMI node it is "disabled" but I do not have any wireless NICs either...).
As a wired connection is recommended for maximium performance & reliability CHMI might stop the WLAN AutoConfig service.
If you need to make use of WLAN, it should be enough to enable the WLAN AutoConfig service again (change from Disabled to Automatic) and configure the wireless network adapter.
Please be aware of that changing network settings might disturb the CHMI system (conflicting IP addresses and or hostnames, bad routing, etc.) so please proceed with caution.
For a demo system I recommend that you configure the ABB system to run on a static IP address on a "Microsoft TCP Loopback Adapter" (Add Hardware->Network Components->...) and put that adapter first in NIC binding order (to make the PC to "wake up" on the same known IP address regardless if you have WIFI or not associated). Even with a loopback adapter first in place you can still communicate via LAN and WLAN.
CHMI installation may disabled some services. If you can't access the WLAN please follow the steps.
1. Press Windows key + R and type "services.msc" and press enter, after that a window(service) will popup.
2. Scroll down the page and check the status type of "WLAN AutoConfig".
3. If it is "disable" mode; double click that "WLAN AutoConfig properties window" will popup and change Startup type as "Automatic" mode.
4. Click the "Start" button on same properties window and check the Service status(It shows "Started").
