extern simulation with OPC on WinFACT BORIS
may I ask you another question about my model?
At first a big "thank you", because the OPC-connection works fine. the information from CBF can be send to BORIS and from BORIS the information can be send back to CBF. I used the same solution, you once showed me for the intern simulation model. But instead of Freelance I use the simulation on BORIS, as you can see on picture OPCBORIS.jpg on this link you answered me few days back:
The problem I have is: When I start the simulation and say in DigiVis I want a height of e.g. 10cm, the setting value and actual value on my the regulator jump between values from 0 to 100. But the actual value never reaches the setpoint of 10.
Is that a problem of the cycle time or do I need to make changes in my program?
P.S. If it's hard to read my english, I can write you the problem in german, too.
That sounds like a limited oscilation issue.
At first you should try out the simulation circle. Just swich the Freelance regulator to manual, change the output step by step and listen to the input. Does the input react like expected?
If Yes you have to change the regulator's parameters. I would suggest to lower KP and/or raise TV and TN (if I or D is used).
If No you have to check the Boris simulation and the value transmission. Does the value who is send from Freelance match the one who is Recived in Boris? And the other direction too? Are the parameters and setup of the Boris simulation correct?
Cycle times on OPC are high (1000ms default), but they should not lead to this issue. If you need faster value transfer you can change the OPC cycle time in the windows registry. Look at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Hartmann & Braun\Freelance\OPCServer\UpdateCycleTime.
I prefer german, but this is an international forum. So we should remain on english and only repeat in german like i sometimes do.
