Replcement of a new PM861 unit with an old PM861, in Redundant CPU and Without BC810
We replaced a new PM861 with an Old , Dual Mode was not reached (DUAL LED was not lit),
We Upgraded the firmware only on the new PM861 from the PC communicating with primary CPU and via the Serialfirmware upgrader software and TK212 cable (Not on primary or old PM861 running the application), after reseting the new PM861 (Backup CPU), Dual Mode was not reached and the P and F led was on.
We powered off the primary CPU and setted IP of the Backup CPU according to The ABB manuals as a Primary CPU and the Backup CPU IP via the IPConfig software, but afte power on , both of CPUs was Primary,So, we Powered off two CPUs.
We connected The TK212 cable to the primary CPU and setted the IP of Primary CPU and backup CPU according to The ABB manuals and via the IPConfig software several times, but the result didnt change and only The P and F LEDs was on again.
what should we do?
1. Please check CEX bus ext. cables TK850, from the left side for both CPU's.
2. Please check RCU cable TK851. From Product Guide:
The CPU connected to the RCU Link Cable connector marked “UPPER” will be
defined as “UPPER” in the Control Builder and Operator Station. The marking
has no relevance to the physical placement of the CPUs. Any CPU can become
the Primary CPU. However at the first power on, the “UPPER” CPU will take the
role of Primary CPU
3. Both CPU's have to be connected each other, powered on, prior to IP set (redundant pair, connected together). From Product Guide:
Connect the Control Builder to COM4 with cable TK212 of the Primary CPU (if required for changing an IP address etc.).
Always ensure that BC810 should be used only when you are using "A" version of CPU's like PM861A,PM864A etc.
Could you please some more info like what system version you are running,Controller PR version Since PR:C having these kind of issues it has been tested in PR:D or E version of controllers, Controller firmware version you are trying to download.
Share the controller log files, to help you better.
Always use Tk850-CEX bus extension and Tk851-RCU link cable to sync these controllers instead BC810.
