AC900F - E_DMS_STATION_ABORT during load changed objects
Hello
We are working with satisfaction with ABB Freelance over 15 years now, recently we have a problem that we are unable to resolve.
We have the following system:
Problem:
Often during "Load changed objects" the message "E_DMS_STATION_ABORT" the station stops and goes in "Version Error", this requires a "Load whole station" to resolve the issue.
Question:
What is the meaning of this message ?
What does DMS stand for ?
How can we resolve the problem?
System:
1. Redundant AC900F
2. Profibus card.
3. SER3 configured as Modbus TCP/IP
4. Freelance 2016 (same problem with Freelance 2013 SP1 RU1)
5. SW well distributed on 8 tasks.
6. good Station LOAD around 30%
Answers
Have a Look to the balancing of RAM/PRAM.
You can find this in the Bootparameter of your controller.
Is there enough RAM and PRAM free?
I remember one similar issue, but this never ended in "Version Error", just had to restart the program task. If I remember right this was gone after i changed the "LatCSnd" and "LatCRcv" cycle times back to more modest values (100ms/100ms was to fast maybe).
DMS is the Freelance 2000-specific transfer protocol on the Systembus, so you should check your network for issues.
You can look to the error log on the controler's website, and ask the ABB support about the error codes - if there are any.
You can also try to stop all tasks on the station before you "Load changed objects".
Hello,
Could not find anything related in known problem/issues, But remember for Freelance 2013 SP1 RU1 there is product bulletin, but it's for load changes leads to fatal error.
Not sure but might be because of MODBUS TCP/IP configured as master and during download( load Changes) connection to the Modbus slaves has been lost before or during download. so the remedy is whole station download. If that is the case you can verify via deactivating/ modbus interface module and related logic. and try to perform load change. If that get's through then seems something to do with modbus TCP/IP.
And in either case you can get connect with local ABB supportline people to help you with. as mentioned in product bulletin for Freelance 2013 there is a TC - Freelance 2013 SP1 RU1 TC01. you try with that.
Regarding specific questions answer, based on my understanding...
What is meaning of this message ? means controller is stopped.
What does DMS stand for ? Digimatic Messaging specification is subset of MMS protocol.
how can we resolve the problem ? better get connect with local ABB supportline people. for proper resolution of this problem.
Hope that helps...
