PM861A Redundancy using Compact Control Builder AC 800M software.
Got questions regarding redundancy with AC800M (PM861A) controllers. In our system, we got two identical CPU's PM861A with two BC810, two CI854A, and on the remote profibus side we have two identical redundant power supplies (SA920S), two CI920AS, and two S900 I/O's. since this is new system that i came across, so need basics on how to connect each other for the redundant system. We have CN1, CN2, COM3 and COM4. Which ports are used for redundancy. ALso, which one do i need to connect to my Laptop? CN1 or CN2 Or CN3..?
Can you please provide the overall structure please.
Any documentation, any sample projects would be really helpful at this time.
there is one special parallel centronics cable between two CPU (half meter long).
CPUs connect all "communication" cards (BC810 and CI854) using Cex bus using another cable between two CPUs. Connector is on CPU bottom side, near optical modulebus inlet/outlet.
CN1 and CN2 are for Control Network (if you have HMI or another AC800M on this net)
COM3 is a serial port but you cannot use in redundant configuration, COM4 is a serial port and service port for IP Address setting and FW upgrade.
You have to bought two PM861 in redundant configuration two have the two redundancy cables!
