Faceplate set AC450 db property
Is it possible to set the selected property (eg property 10 in MMCX) in the database automatically as long as a faceplate is opened for the specific object?
The property must be set at the moment when the faceplate is opened.
I need this function without the lock button is pressed.
Is this possible for each writable property (each format and datatype)?

SELECTED = Lock in 800xA (which is equivalent to having an object dialog open in Advant OS).
800xA's Auto-lock feature (configured per user) will set SELECTED bit (lock) as soon as the faceplate is opened (no requirement to click lock button).
If you need more help I suggest mailing firstname.lastname@example.org (if you are an ABB employee or contractor hired by ABB) or ask that your regional ABB support center forward a query on your behalf.
For 800xA for Advant Master, the faceplate's lock button/icon is coupled to the SELECTED bit of the object's STATUS word.
Why can't you use the faceplate's lock (select) function (which is a generic and default method to indicate that someone is interacting with this particular object)?
There are in practice no other "free & available" properties in AC450 to use for this (plus the additional hard work required to detect operator focus, trigger controller "lock" & "unlock" in a custom solution)
Many functions in Ac450 are based on the selection of an object, without requiring an additional dialog step is performed.
To the selected flag is queried and a block module enabled.
Is there a possibility to continue to use this functionality?
If not, would require extensive changes to program level.
Is it not possible to realize a script that the selected flag is set, without the lock function to use?
Who can create such a script and how it can be integrated?
It does not relate to standard objects, but only free MMCX reference types.
Thank you in advance for any help to solve this problem.
Thank you very much
