How do you configure the FF OPC Server?
I am working with the 800xA and I am trying to extablish communications with foundation fieldbus, profibus and modbus modules.
I am currently configuring a HSE subnet between the 800xA, CI860, LD 800HSE and OPC FF Server. I followed all the instructions in making the HSE subnet, with the only aspect I am uncertain of being the Network Configuration settings.
When I go to comission the HSE subnet the OPC FF server shows that there is "no connection" in Fieldbus Builder. This is confirmed when I try to use the "test client for data subscription" and matrikon to connect to the server. It is just not running, the plant explorer also sees it in the initialize stage not service stage.
When I try to access the sever directly I get the error:
FF Initialization Error
Please change invalid HSE-IP Address with configuration tool
It was mentioned in a previous post with a similar error that this is caused by an IP address conflict and that the LD 800HSE needs to be in the freelance control network to communicate. Does this mean the freelance v9.2 software needs to be used to make the OPC FF server or it there another simpler way. The instructions to make a HSE subnet seem to indicate that the OPC FF Server will be automatically connected and work without problems.
My network settings for my HSE subnet are:
Client Server Network
Engin, PC FBB FF 172.16.4.11
OPCServer FF OPC1 172.16.4.11
HSE Network
Subnet Mark: 255.255.252.0
Default Gateway: 172.16.4.63
HSE Subnet ID: 1
OPCServerFF OPC1 172.16.4.17
ABB LD800HSE HSE_DEV_001 172.16.4.14
HSEHostCI860 HSE_HOST_001 172.16.80.15
I will appreciate any advice you can give on fixing this issue.
