PM866, Changerover on primary controller network cable failure
In one of our project, 800xA 5.1 FP1 system we are having redundant PM866 controller.
The controller is not changing over upon failure of both CN1 and CN2 of primary controller! Whereas the changeover is happening if we fail the primary controller.
The RNRP is working good, able to get the both network status of controller and other servers/workstation.
Please find the attached for screen shots of Ethernet status and settings. Ethernet 1 and 2 are indicating error as "No communication BackupCPU".
Please let me know how to resolve this error on ethernet 1 and 2?

From the attachment I can see that you have the error "no communication backupcpu"
to correct this do the following
(unfortunately you need to stop both controllers during this operation):
Start the IP Config program via Start Menu -> Programs -> ABB Industrial IT 800xA -> Engineering - Utilities.
Make sure you have a serial cable connected from a COM port on the PC to COM4 on one of the controllers in the redundant pair. Disconnect the power to the other controller.
Set the used COM port number in IP Config via menu: Settings -> Com Port.
Click Connect and make reset of the controller. Wait for IP Config to confirm that the controller has started.
Select menu: Settings -> Advanced mode.
Select Menu: Settings -> Set Backup IP addresses...
Here is probably "Disable interface" selected. Change to select "Obtain an IP address by using default rule". Click "Store Interface Settings"
Repeat the previous operation for Ethernet2.
Close IP Config
Reset controller and let it start up. Connect power for the other controller.
The "No communication BackupCPU" in Description text shall disapear after a while
