How to block / hide the events for seleced tags from the eventlist permanently in 800xA with AC800M?
Voted best answer
For data integrity reasons it is not possible to erase an event once it has been recorded by the Event Storage service.
Events will remain until storage capacity has reached its capacity (default is 10.000 per event category - I believe AC800M exposes three) at which the log wraps and starts to overwrite the oldest events.
By cold starting the Event Storage service (easily done by removing its data folder from all OperateITData folders while service is disabled) all events will be erased.
If erasing all events is not an option, your only option would be to filter events with the use of some applicable filter option (class, severity, attribute matching, etc.) - but this is probably not a very feasible idea.
Why do you need to erase events?

Here's a method:
Download and read product bulletin 3BSE064359.
1. Add a custom attribute on the Process Simple Event category (or whatever category the undesired event belongs to).
2. Tag the "undesired" object with an known key value for your custom attribute
3. Change event lists where the undesired object shall not appear to ignore the key using attribute filtering.
