Please visit the IndustrialIT certified products for use with ABB System 800xA DCS web page.

I could not find the model you referenced, that does not necessarily mean you can't run 800xA on it (I doubt it will refuse...).
The IIT certification of a server has not so much to do with a specific version of 800xA. Each hardware probably have a set of supported operating systems and VMware versions issued by the vendor and VMware.
Not even the VMware version is bound to an 800xA version, but only the versions listed has been formally tested by ABB. If you deviate, you have to check & verify the compatiblity yourself.
Most certified servers have ready made PNSM Assets. To add supervision, download the asset from ABB Library/SolutionsBank, import, instantiate and parameterize it and you are set. An AO server is required for most alarms, but creating own Alarm Expressions isn't that difficult.
More recent models require SNMP Trap handling in 800xA for full alarm capability. This is only available in 5.1 RevB and onwards (if I remember correct). W/o trap receving enabled you must poll and use Alarm Expressions to fire an alarm. Polling is less effective than traps.
Any SNMP property your hardware has (check vendor's MIB for details, try using a MIB walker to see actual values from the hardware) can be integrated and made into OPC DA data with some effort.
Hint: have a look at some ready made asset type and you should get an idea on how to turn SNMP data into OPC data... then add some graphics, faceplate, alarm expressions and you have made your own PNSM asset.
