Single AC800M Controller communicating to two 800xA System
So is it possible for one AC800M Controller to talk to two 800xA System same project.
800XA System -1 and 800XA System -2 ( Both will have same project and on the same network, with different service account passwords )
As per 800xa controller Hardware setting OPCDA Subscriber number can be increased.
800xA System-1 will be only used for Engineering to GO online and download
800xA System-2 wil be only used for Operation purpose ( Alarm Event ,Operation etc)
We are not looing for Mutlisystem intergration solution , rather duplicate system.
I would not recommend this.
Critical files created by Control Builder M during application download will only be distributed within the system the engineering station is connected to. After each download, the OPC server for AC 800M must be able to reach these updated files, or else the OPC server will become "blinded" and can not provide any data to its clients.
A second OPC server running in a different system will not be able to download any changes made from the first system.
Having to export/import the project (+dependant PG2 graphics, etc.), or transfer the required CBM files "manually" is according to me a too akward procedure to be viable in the long run.
With AC 800M and System 800xA, the engineering is a core part which is embedded into the system itself.
This concept of maintaning common controllers for two or more systems will not work and its not recommended for production system and causes operation block out in the counterparts on download of applications from one system, since on download of the controller from any one system leads to OPC DA/AE update in same system since OPC server will transfer files only across the nodes which are connected to the same system where in OPCDA/AE servers of other counterparts will not be updated until the sourcecode files are updated to fetch the data in OPC server.
You cannot share controllers between systems.

No, they will not be identical. The systems will ONLY be identical immediately after syncronization. They can ( and almost certainly WILL ) become different very quickly. Even simple things like changing trend templates, settng PID tuning values etc will not be replicated between the systems.
This functionality is already available as a "Production" and "Engineering" environments. See the Manual "System 800xA Engineering and Production Environment" for details on how to do this. Note that the Engineering environment is completely off-line and does NOT use the same controllers as the production system. Instead it uses Soft Controllers to simulate the system.
