How to find 800xA version details ?
I would like to know where exactly in 800xA we get the version details of the software installed. I know that we have 800xA 5.1 system, but within 5.1 system I would like to know details if a system has 5.1 Rev A, or Rev B, or Rev C or FP4 version.
thanks in advance.

The easiest of all is to browse to the below location in the Plant Explorer
Aspect System Structure>> Central License Server >> System Release Info>> System Release Info(Aspect)
This actualy gives you the version of CLS running indirectly specifying the version of 800xA. This will meet your requirement and need not refer and compare any build versions in the document.
As Anny said go to Control Panel-> Add or Remove Programs.
Find out the version info and build number. The attached document will be helpful in identifying the correct version.
If you have the setup software, there is a text document called versioninfo in each of the 800xA components. You can find out from that as well
No easy method exist. Many version numbers exist so access to the appropriate System Software Versions document from ABB Library/SolutionsBank is key.
You must also differentiate between what has been installed to Microsoft Windows and what has actually been loaded into the 800xA System. Just because you have Function Designer installed to Windows does not mean you have it loaded into the system.
Also; having the same software versions in ALL computers is important. Hence I suggest the following approach.
1. Use DCT to perform a "Analyze Software" (with a few clicks you have the entire system's software versions in Excel)
2. Take a snapshot of the System Extensions aspect found in the [Admin Structure]Administrative Objects/Domains/<nameofsystem>. Be sure to copy all rows and columns, especially the "Installed" and "Loaded" columns that are important.
