Can anybody let me know whether the software for MP280 can be brought back to the original FCB form from the dump (*.aa , *.ba) assuming no changes are made on the type-circuits appearing in the PC programs at the site. Please indicate all the possible precautions that one should take while loading the software and backtranslating the dumps.
My concern is submission of the as-built documentation, of-course some other possibilities can not be ruled out. A print-out of the exploded type-circuits will create unnecessary confusion in the minds of the O&M people once we handover the charge to them. Which is why we used to get the print-outs on which any changes at site at the time of commissioning were recorded, and then update my office copy of the software to match the site status. There is an opinion that every change made at site might not have been recorded strictly as per instructions and so the possibility of differences arising is quite large. So its imperative that the as-built documentation should necessarily be generated from the dumps collected from the site. Its a very critical issue, I would request an early response from you.
