Dual Data Set's
A description of this resolution:
- Dual Data Set's
Redundant Data Sets are not required for Redundant networks. In case of a failure of one network the DS communication will be taken care of by the other network.
"Dual Data Set's" resolves the following:
- Dual Data Sets
Engineering Platform : AS 500ES
We have the following plant network layout....
T*MB300 control networks ( Network numbers 21-22 , 31-32, 41-42 and 51-52 ) Q*MB300 Plant network ( Network numbers 126-127 )
Initially when we started the project we were told to create a Data Set for each of the networks, example communicating from net21 node 1 to net21 node 10, you should have a Data Set for 21,01 and one for 22,01.
During a later stage of our designs we were told that you don’t need to have a dual Data Set pair for a redundant network. ( i.e. using only 21,01 will work for both networks 21 and 22 ).
Which of the two statements above is true ???
