A description of this resolution:
- Corrections and improvements that have been made in MP200/1*2.0 revision /13
This Report describes the corrections and the improvements that have been made in revision /13 of errors/problems found in revision 1-12. It also contains a description of the function in revision /13 of the changed parts of the element.
Improvement description
The possibility to stop the motor from MasterView 800, when point of control SEQUENCE is used, has been added. The time from the moment an alarm about contactor fault is internally generated in the element to the moment an alarm is sent to the MasterView 800 is changed from the value on input T2 to the fixed time 0.8 sec.
Function description
In revision /13 the corrections and added improvements will give MOTCON the following function:
A. The interlocking functions of MOTCON work as follows.
- If the inputs ACK1 or ACK2 go from 1 to 0 when the output RUN is activated an alarm about contactor fault is generated internally in the element.
- Alarm about contactor fault is blocked during the time T2 after starting order.
- After an internal alarm is generated the element waits 0,8 sec before the interlocking logic is evaluated.
- Evaluation of the interlocking logic is done in the following way:
- If any of the inputs M1, M2, M3, M4, IA, IB1, IB2, IB3, IB4, IC[B1, IC2, V1 or V2 falls the alarm is inhibited. NB This valid if IBF=0 and V2F=1.
- If IBF=1 and any of IB3 and IB4 (start interlockings) falls the alarm is not inhibited.
- If V2F=0 the input V2 is not used.
- If the element is in point of control LOCAL and the input LO has fallen the alarm is inhibited.
- If the internally generated alarm is not inhibited by the interlocking logic the alarm "CONTACTOR FAULT" will be sent to MasterView 800.
B. No alarm "CONTACTOR FAULT" is sent to MasterView 800 if a contactor feedback signal (input ACK1 or ACK2) is generated without a start order to the element.
C. While the starting pulse (time set on input T1) is on the following is valid:
- If a running motor is stopped by stop order via input STOP or from MasterView 800 in point of control CENTRAL, SEQUENCE or LOCAL the motor will stop.
- In point of control CENTRAL or SEQUENCE the element will stop and restart the motor automatically if any of the inputs IA, IB1, IB2, IB3, IB4, IC1 or IC2 is set and then falls. The same will happen if any alarm (input M1, M2, M3, M4, V1 or V2) is set and then falls after being acknowledged.
- In point of control LOCAL the element will stop and restart the motor automatically if any of the inputs IA, IB1, IB2, IB3, IB4, IC1 or IC2 is set and then falls. The same will happen if any alarm (input M1, M2, M3, M4, V1 or V2) is set and then falls after being acknowledged. If a start order is given to L1 or L2 (L0 must be set) and then L0 falls and sets again the motor will stop and then restart automaticly.
- In point of control TEST all interlockings are blocked, only alarm on the inputs M1, M2, M3, M4 V1 or V2 can stop the motor. If an alarm is set the motor will stop. The motor will be restarted after the alarm has fallen.

"MasterPiece 200/1 Errors in PC element MOTCON (MP200/1*2.0)" resolves the following:
- MasterPiece 200/1 Errors in PC element MOTCON (MP200/1*2.0)
A. If the following conditions are fulfilled no alarm "CONTACTOR FAULT" will be sent to MasterView 800.
- IB3 and IB4 are used for start interlocking (IBF=1).
- The motor is started.
- Any or both IB3 and IB4 falls (start interlockings).
- If the contactor feedback signal (input ACK1 or ACK2) falls the element will evaluate the stopping and blocking logic. Since IB3 and IB4 incorrectly are included in this logic the element will stop the motor without sending any alarm about contactor fault.
B. If a motor is started in point of control CENTRAL, SEQUENCE or LOCAL and a stop order is given to the motor before the starting pulse is off (the time set on input T1) then the motor will stop and immediately restart without waiting for a new starting order.
C. No alarm "CONTACTOR FAULT" is sent to MasterView 800 if a contactor feedback signal (input ACK1 or ACK2) is generated without a start order to the element.
