Coordinator station with PC-Coupling and PCV24
A description of this resolution:
- Installation of the COS dialogues
During operation of several PC-coupling lines with PCV24 (SW version 7.1) the segment 80 of the COS packet assembly (COS dialogues) must be plugged into the coordinator station.
Through installation of the COS dialogues additional RAM for dialogues will be reserved behind the stack at level 0, so that an overrun from stack will not cause a sequence error.
"Coordinator station with PC-Coupling and PCV24" resolves the following:
If in a coordinator station with MM connection the PC-coupling with several lines and with PCV24 is utilized, the stack of level 0 may overrun because of the many behind each other nested interrupts and therefore can cause the breakdown of the coordinator station und faults in the connected mass memory unit.
The error appears under the following marginal conditions:
- the coordinator station has MM connection,
- utilization of several PC-coupling lines with PCV24 (SW version 7.1)
The underlying cause is:
- Stack overrun
The stack of level 0 overruns because of the many behind each other nested interrupts.
